Just completed a superb installation of the new Philips LEDs at the main headquarters of the Devon FA.
The installation was a challenge, where we had to take all the outside areas into account and come up with a perfect lighting solution using 3 different types of optics.

With County Cup final season now finished, those that attended the County Ground this summer will have noticed a significant difference in the big match experience courtesy of Devon County FA partner Sports Lighting.
Long awaited upgrades to the floodlights have been installed at The County Ground, offering vast improvements in not only visibility, but also energy efficiency and environmental impact.
Kim Prestwood, owner of Sports Lighting, a Devon-based, family-run company which has supported grassroots sport in the South West for decades, explained the upgrades.
“These are significant enhancements on fittings previously in place at The County Ground. The old LEDs were some of the very first to come on to the market, with very little spill control – which were failing on both performance and coverage.
“LEDs have developed rapidly in the last few years – they’re now much more energy efficient, brighter, and more controlled.”
The results are transformative for Devon County FA’s flagship facility. Not only will players, officials and spectators find it easier to see the action in evening fixtures, thanks to a combination of three types of optics and best-in-class Philips 1500w asymmetric LEDs, but local residents benefit from reduced light pollution, and the association continues to make progress against its environmental and sustainability commitments.
